Make it stand out
Congratulations to Christina Comfort recipient of the Reel Aloha Life Award.
Christina is a dedicated researcher tackling land-based pollution in coastal waters. She's using fluorescence-based measurements for rapid detection of wastewater contamination, aiming to alert ocean managers and users to hazardous conditions. Her work will also shed light on how pollution inputs vary over time.
Christina is also studying circulation and water quality in Poka'i Bay, O'ahu, to better understand how polluted water moves and lingers in the bay. Her work is vital for protecting our oceans and all the communities that they support!
Do you study ocean pollution? If so, we encourage you to learn more about Reel Aloha Life.
